Use mouse/keyboard on PlayStation 3 games?

I've been terribly itching to be able to play shooters again on PS3, but ONLY if I can do it with mouse/keyboard.

The only PS3 game with gameplay support of mouse/keyboard is Unreal Tournament III, and even that support is broken with bugs.

I am looking for a way to use mouse/keyboard as-if it were a SIXAXIS controller. So far I found this video:

Can someone tell me if there's a way to do what was on the video (or similar) but not be restricted to a crappy ball mouse? Unless Smartjoy Frag can indeed use laser mice.
