Treetop Final
Mr Cannon says hi, and would like to propose a map for your consideration:
Treetop Final
Description:
The Axis have to assault the secret allied
missile base located deep within the forest. They must
make their way up into the treetop walkways then down into
the subterranean missile base. They will then have to open the
missile doors and launch the missile.
There is plenty of engy & covy objectives to keep people busy,
and decent sniping along with decent cover. A good mix of large
outdoor areas and closed in quarters. Potentially EPIC goombas
are always a possibility on this map.

No problem. I try to post at least once every six months or so just to annoy you guys.septime wrote:Hi Mr Cannon.
Thanks for posting.
To be honest, I do not know this map (YET). So we will have a look at this one and see if it could be a good fit.
Trying to give you an answer ASAP. But, ATM busy with some japanese maps.
I saw those maps. They look quite... interesting?
First of all, I did not see any ewoks here.
Lol at the main objective : launch a missile to destroy Canada. Not sure, if I want to complete this one.
You are right : many things to do for engineers and cvops.
I like the voices that tell you what to do. Axis are on offense, it is also a good point. Many goombas (or fall to your death ) and a lot of sniping, for sure.
A lot of open space at the beginning. But there are many objectives, so Axis should be able to split the defense.
If Axis manage to get the spawn in the trees, it will be easier. The last part (basement) looks promising with some great fights.
It might be hard to reach the "first floor". Either you climb one tree but you are an easy target for snipers and campers or you use the elevator but it's close from the Allies spawn.
We could give it a try and get more feedback. I will let you know.

If you want my opinion I would slot this in just for the load up screen - map by Frankie Duck - pure class! Lold
The actual map is great fun and more than big enough for 60 players.
Great find Cannon - I think it really is special.
+btw I think some maps in rotation need a rest.. Warbell /Etbeach /UJE for
example.. been on for long time now.

I played this one last night a couple times. I went from ally eng to axis eng to play both sides.
I was lost at first until I understood the obj. There are a few things that need to be completed including taking the box and delivering it, taking the gold key to open the door. Then going downstairs to pull the lever to open the missle doors. (This would be a good fight). Once the door to the missle is open, than pulling the countdown lever to launch the missle. One minute and thirty seconds for the countdown. (Another good fight) One thing I forgot to try is stopping the countdown. I assume that the lever can be stopped to stop the countdown.
In additon, there are numerous engineer objs. including building a ramp to go across the ice/water, and building a big bridge to go to the other tree.
All in all, this one looks like a winner to me and is something totally different than what we have played on our server. This map has my vote!

You are right, there are many objectives to complete for Axis engineers.
- build a ramp
- blow the front door
- build a bridge
- repair the elevator power box
- destroy the crate barrier
- deliver the transmitter components
- steal the key and open the locked door
- build the ropes
- destroy the main door
Of course, other classes will be involved as well. But engineers will need some backup, more than ever.
At the beginning, both spawns (Axis and Allies) are on the groundfloor. Once the transmitter components have been delivered, the action will take place in the trees. Once the Axis have opened the locked door, the last part begins : launch the missile. Great fights here, for sure.
Yes, the countdown can be interrupted.

Just played this map and I thought I'd give my 2 cents.
Looks like great fun, first of all. Reminds me of Daybreak on BBA2, which is one of my favorite maps. Great for panzer-addicts like me with all of the high ground! I do see a possible problem with lag, as it is a huge map and there is all of the fog. I noticed my FPS dropped during that map (at least the beginning when all the action is outside).
Sorry for the lame name, but it was the closest I could get to my alias . This is only my first post, but I figured since I've been playing a lot more lately, I would try to contribute a little bit.

Just few words about the map
The gameplay is really different from most of the maps.
First part : groundfloor
- many objectives for Axis : steal the transmitter components and deliver them in the tree (by using the ladder or the elevator), build a ramp, blow a door...
- Allies have to defend the front door and the elevator power box and prevent axis from reaching the first floor with the components
- the "ice rink" will be interesting
- this part is supposed to be laggy. Many of you mentioned that point. I think you could be right. Of course we checked by calling artillery...but with few players ON, it's hard to say.
Second part : Treetop
- both spawns are in the trees
- Axis have to build a bridge and destroy a crate barrier
- treetop walkways and platforms could be narrow for many players
- snipers and arty paradise, for a lot of fun
- could be hard for Axis to make their way till the door and deliver the key to unlock it. But with some teamwork, it should be doable
Third part : basement
- the final battle will take place here. It will be a HUGE one, with a lot of intensity
- Axis have to open the doors and activate the countdown to launch the missile
- Allies can interrupt the countdown
SO, this is a progressive map that requires a lot of teamwork. Plus, Axis are on offense (I do care about that). Sad to see it could be laggy because I really like it.

Played this last night with TJHooker, Ace, and Hiya. Seems like an interesting map. There are a few choke points where it looks like some gas, flame, etc. could clog up the way but also seems pretty interesting overall. It was certainly fun with just a couple peeps, but I'd have to see it in action with 15 per side to get a full feel for it.
