Black spots ingame

Post by spaiker13 » Thu Apr 09, 2009 10:57 am

Hey all, I got a problem with the graphics or something with that.
When I load a map, it goes good for a couple of minutes but then suddenly it becomes very dark, (eg slipgate last objective, i can't even see the enemies :eew: )
I have already tried to change the contrast, and all that, lower details and stuff but it didn't work  .
Maybe the problem lies with the gpu who goes to hot or the cpu is to hot (i have overclocked it). I don't know.
Can anybody of you guys help me?
I took a 2 screenshots of it:

Thanks

I suspect its your overclocked settings and heat problems(probably caused by overclocking).

Trying stepping down a few notches and see what happens.

When my GPU overheats... my puter just shuts down... although it could be the cpu overheating.. not sure.

But my gpu is always 50-60° (which is normal for a HD4850) and cpu also doesn't go higher as 60° so they are both within the regulated values

I see that you adjusted your contrast.

Did you increase your brightness?

Yes I did and it didn't work either, but if you look at the screens i think it doesn't have anything to do with the ingame settings :/

Did this just occur since installing the new drivers? Have you tried rolling them back?

Yeah, I got it the first time...

It still can't hurt to give it a shot and see what happens but it's up to you.
