California VS Chicago Server

I'm on vacation though the holidays and was checking out the BBA forum this morning. Thought I'd give a little feedback about the new server location in Chicago and playing ET these past few nights.

From my perspective here in NC, it is a lot more responsive than the California server location; however, it does seem susceptible for the intermittent lag spike. Overall, it's been better than the California server so good from this end.

Good job to those taking care and administering the server for my favorite online game.

I agree with you Pete. My connection from Eastern Canada likes the Chicago server too. I'm not sure how it suits Himmy but I can finally take a chunk out of Alpha before he frags me.

Of the recent roulette of servers, Chicago as well as Texas (even with the added hops) does seem the most responsive on my side as well. Every West coast server we have played has not been a good experience with both game ending spikes and lack of response not associated with ping.
