Dam. We did think pro mod was going to be a problem.
Not that fussed about xp save.
But playing in slow motion could be a killer
Not sure how Sissy & Swatt feel about it.
Will hit them both up in game and get them to make a comment here.
Thanks for trying Bloodbane

There is another mod called Tactical Assault that will unpack on the fly. It dosent appear to be actively maintained so I'm not sure how buggy that may or may not be.

I've never played on a server that had custom maps running, but have played on plenty of the slow motion servers (no XP save) and have to be honest its not the same game. Maybe a new map combined with slow motion is okay, but I have no comment.

So I downloaded the mod and joined the TAW server, walked through (2) of the maps...they where awful! One was a ported Q3 map and not sure what the other was, but they sucked! No depth, no detail and certainly nothing that would be of value in a campaign style of play.

I played with TAW last night for 1 map
Thought it was quite a good map.just had no idea where the hell to go.
graphics was about 75%
But dont think i would swap xp save and speed for that.

Those types of maps are intended for warmup while we are waiting for people to show up / get teams ready for our matches. We only play them for about 10 minutes for a quick fragfest then after everyone is ready we switch to a 3-map campaign which is a mix of vanilla and custom. There are probably about a dozen traditional campaign-oriented customs that fit in nicely.

This Sunday we will be playing a campaign with some more traditional style custom maps. And you wouldn't have to give up xp save or speed as almost every parameter in the game can be customized. We have the speed dialed down a bit b/c it would just turn into a shitfest on the TAW servers.
