is only downloading at 78 KB/s, instead of my normal 400, so dl time predicts to be 54 minutes.

Hey Kris that's 54 mins good drinking time lol.

This is meant for people who have suffered computer crashes/lost data.
Main issue I heard is simply not being able to connect to servers (because
pb is not generating any new etkeys /supporting ET anymore.)
ET Gold auto generates an ETkey in main so it's just that much easier.
