I had two 4890's in Crossfire.bloodbane wrote:revision...I ordered a 2nd video card so we are going to go crossfire from the start
I didn't think there was that big of a boost.
And I had heat issues constantly.
Finally pulled one and stuck with a single card.
So you might think of some cooling options.
Of course.... I only play ETQW... so I have a limited perspective.
Would like to know how it works out for you though!
Will Ban for Stroyent.

From what I have read that is an ETQW thing. Games that use OpenGL are more prone to crossfire issues than those that use DirectX.Sissyboy wrote:I had two 4890's in Crossfire.bloodbane wrote:revision...I ordered a 2nd video card so we are going to go crossfire from the start

They just came out with an H70. I just bought an H50 and installed it literaly yesterday. I still have to open my case and put a fan on it (perhaps I need to tinker with the case fan arrangement a bit to fix this) but with the H50 my CPU now runs at 40C instead of 47C while playing ET.Loose_Stool wrote:Get a Corsair H50 CPU cooler. Self-contained liquid cooler. Not only way cooler, but almost silent to boot.

The Best Buy site skipped the LGA 1366 on it's specs page, but Corsair says it's supported:Zeus wrote:Best Buy has it on sale for $59Loose_Stool wrote:Get a Corsair H50 CPU cooler. Self-contained liquid cooler. Not only way cooler, but almost silent to boot.
