Homemade Snickers Candy Bars
Homemade Snickers Candy Bars
K first let me warn you if your at all worried about your diet DO NOT MAKE THESE!!!! I ran into this recipe a couple weeks ago and tried it out over the weekend and now im going to have a heart attack by the end of the week cause i cant stop eating these. On the upside it is something of a pain in the ass to make took me about 2 hours of screwing around and trying to find things to cook it but they taste sooooo much better than real snickers. So anyone who can cook or knows someone who will cook them for you i highly recommend you try these. O and im sorry if any of you have heart attacks but I did warn you.

Wikipedia says, variously, of Newcastle, England:the_singing_mole_master wrote:"carrying coals to Newcastle!" i don't get this sentence is the meaning like "giving marmalade to pig ? "
"Newcastle's development as a major city, however, owed most to its central role in the export of coal. The phrase taking coals to Newcastle was first recorded in 1538."
"Newcastle upon Tyne (in Britain) was a major coal exporting city, so sending coal there would be pointless."
"coals to Newcastle
1. (idiomatic) A pointless venture, in the sense of sending something to a place where it's made, or where they already have an abundance. "
Maybe you could say "truffles to a pig", one of those truffle-sniffing pigs, that is. Not quite the same, as the pig-handler has to watch out for the pig eating the truffles.
added** Croissants to Paris would be a better example.

im not positve about how it would taste but you could switch the peanut butter and butterscotch in the chocolate coating for nutella (which as i understand it is a hazelnut flavored paste in europe) just mix a small bit of the chocolate up with it and see if you like it. as for the nouget layer i got nothing there that would help maybe the nutella would work there as well it sure wouldnt taste the same but it might be even better for european tastebuds

I made a batch of these last night.
Unfortunately on the final chocolate layer, I decided to add a bit of evaporated milk and seized the chocolate/butterscotch.
Ugh. Silly Sissy. (I know better..)
So the last layer ... yeah I spread it on... but it's more like fudge.
But the whole concoction is in my freezer.
I'll let everyone know how it turns out.
