Ok, just got my computer updated. Have my new 500 gig HD with Win 7 and my secondary HD with Win XP.

I am going to attempt to download ET on my new HD with 7. I haven't done this in a long time. Besides downloading ET, I notice there is patch 2.60 and 2.60b- which one do I need?

Anything else? I fairly sure I save my key on a thumb drive-(we will see)

Thanks!

Install ET, then run the 2.60patch and to finish overwrite et.exe and etded.exe with the 2 files from the 2.60b patch.
and don't forget to get punkbuster updated/administrator rights

I ran the 2.60 and 2.60b patch, fairly sure PB is up to date.

When I try to log on any server it says;

Game Code (ui_mp_x86.dll) failed Pure Server Check.

Any clues?

I almost have it. I actually copied the files into my new HD and got into the BBA server 1 with all my tags but punkbuster is booting me.

I am not sure if my admin priviledges are matching up.

Any clues on the punkbuster problem?

Thanks!

You copied your old etkey into THE new etmain folder, right?

A/w does pb gives an error when it kickes you?

I get on the server and PB kicks meoff within a few seconds. I did copy my old key into my etmain folder. When I went on the server I did notice I had the same xp as when I left ad my BBA tags were on.

Tonight after getting booted by PB on the BBA 1 server, I attempted to go on other servers and had no problems. I was on a jaymod server with no apparent problems with PB.

I get this:

"Server Disconnected PB kicked Service Comm. Failure"

hm, since I didn't had time to install win7 again myself, I don't know which of the solutions will work..

you could try to make sure pb service is installed correctly by running this: http://www.evenbalance.com/downloads/pbsvc/pbsvc.exe

or try this: http://www.howtogeek.com/forum/topic/wi ... -territory

or start>run>services / start>search>services
->pnkbstra & pnkbstrb >properties>check allow this service to interact with the desktop

hopefully I can find some time soon to install it again myself.

It appears the handy PB utility worked. I went in for a few minutes and didn't get kicked. I did notice it seemed very laggy and not smooth though.
