Here's Sissyboy
I have been working on a tank stand for a used 110 gallon aquarium that I bought.
So here are a few pics ...
Finally got the tank in the house last night and set it up on the stand!
HUGE!
Probably weighs 200 lbs empty.

This just doesn't work Sissy. Any respectable man knows that hard work requires the showing of yon buttcrack!
On a more serious note. What kinda fish you gonna stock in it? I have 7 Betas (not together ofcourse) the 8th one died last week =( his name was Bob, he lived to the ripe old age of 6 years.
If your looking to treat a tank for Ich I suggest any product with formalin and/or malachite green, i've tried some of the other base chemicals but those two seem to really do the trick for treating a tank. When using formalin though, make sure to use recently purchased formalin. Formalin that is stored for long periods of time can convert to paraformaldehyde, which can be toxic to fish. and malachite can be toxic to some sunfish, neons, piranhas and quite a few scaleless fish.
Anyway, you must show us the finished results of your project!
Edit: ooo that suckers big! Looks very nice, can't wait to see to finished result when you have it filled and such.

Thanks Nouc.
Sorry about your Betta.
We have a collection of goldfish and some of them are over 8 years old.. you get attached.. not like a dog of course .. but still a pet.
I currently have a 55 gallon tank with a couple Oscars, a Jack Dempsey, a Firemouth, and a Convict.
The new tank is going to house the whole bunch .. Hopefully.. The larger Oscar is starting to turn a bit aggressive... so time will tell.
I will definitely post the final project.
I also still need to build a canopy for the lights.
But it feels good to be getting close to the end.!!
woohoo

Wow nice assortment you have there. Firemouths are absolutely beautiful!
Did you have to order your convict? I hear they can get pretty expensive, i've never seen one sold here in the states, course i've never gone looking for them either.

I had no problem finding convicts.
Petsmart almost always has them in stock. (petsmart and petco are the only pet stores in my town... and the nearest town is about 90 miles away)
I imagine the convict will end up by itself or with another convict eventually. They get pretty aggressive and are easy to breed, so I will probably end up with a pair in a tank by themselves.
They are supposed to be breeding machines and my Oscar's love to eat live food!

Hey those doors kinda remind of the AT&T commercials with the more bars in more places staggering. Did you forget to add the 2.5 inches for the tape measure? Ah just kidding Sissy. I couldn't cut a straight line to save my life and what the hell does "measure twice, cut once" mean?

I think actually you're just seeing the effects of the opposing grains, or possibly different wood species, in the rails and stiles of the face frames compounded by the angle of the picture.bugoy wrote:Hey those doors kinda remind of the AT&T commercials with the more bars in more places staggering. I would guess that you plan out your projects and your trips quite thoroughly.
None of this "ach, the bolt's too short!. I'll just hop over to Home Depot and get another."
