Ostra Brama - DOWNLOAD MAP
Operation Ostra Brama (lit. Operation Sharp Gate) was an armed conflict during World War II between the Polish Home Army and the Nazi German occupiers of Vilnius. It began on July 7, 1944, as part of a Polish national uprising, Operation Tempest, and lasted until July 14, 1944. The Germans were defeated. Victory!
Allies will start in the forest surrounding Vilnius, escorting the tank to the river and capture the Axis flag. Then cross the river to Vilnius where the Axis Ammo Supply documents are (in Gediminas Tower). Steal the documents and get them back to the radio tent!
(No command posts here. These map makers are gettin' lazy! Lots of doors on lots of buildings, but the only one that works is the one leading to the docs.)
Personally, I'm not digging this one much.

I take it your the same Blowfish who made the map?Blowfish wrote:Does it count if I like it It is designed to work as a scrimmap. Simple straight forward.. Escort tank to river, blow wall with engie/covert and main gate with tank, get into tower for objectives, run to rdio tent on the roofs, main town or outside city wall.....
Nice work.
How's the FPS on it? The wide open ones like to lag with alot of players on.
Hey OMH, how about turning your FPS meter on too so we can see what you have in each SS.
One other thing, when you link, do it to the page at another site, the the file directly, most sites do not want you hot linking files, this one for example is already dead.
Nice job on posting and reviewing though.
I will fix the links so they point to their rtcwfiles.com pages. There's info on the map, other screenies, and a download link.
As for FPS, I thought about doing that, but I had so many problems getting the maps to even list, much less load, that I didn't want to introduce Jaymod to my fresh ET install for fear of fouling something up again.
But since FPS is important, I'll try it on the next one and keep my fingers crossed that everything works.
And thanks, my pleasure. In case you couldn't tell, I kinda like it around here. :)

Thanks dudez. The map is uploaded at filefront and wolfmap. As it was designed as a scrimmap, fps was nr 1 and small download nr 2. We thought it might be bad to use so many tree models, but that didnt affect it to much. We have some good players with veryyy low hardware and always have bad fps. They tested the fps for me while mapping and had normal fps rate of 70. All other 90-much more... I keep my fps at a 90 non stop, even with arty turning moving etc.etc
Yes its a simpel objective..... still we have a lot of fu with it, with the hidden tunnel, trees you can get in if you know how, running around the roof or snipe on it.....etc.
Xfire me at blowfishie for bugs, question or ideas about it.
