Screencaps! Screenshots! Screenies!

After much wrangling and geekery, I've managed to gather my current (10/14/10) screenies off my HTC Incredible. Share yours here, too!

I'll include links to the apps and widgets used on each screenie. Most are free. Prices are shown at the AppBrain links. And now, please enjoy my badass phone.

Image

Time/Weather: Beautiful Widgets. Clock Style = DroidAndI, Weather Style = ANDROdena Weather Pack (which is way cool when it's not cloudy) http://www.appbrain.com/app/beautiful-w ... fulwidgets

Battery Widget: Tajm, also has setting for numbers. http://www.appbrain.com/app/tajm/net.bajawa.tajm

The microphone icon and several such large icons I use is a Desktop Visualizer widget ( http://www.appbrain.com/app/desktop-vis ... app.dskvzr ) which allows me to change almost any icon for any program. I can also change or delete the text that goes under it. The microphone launches Voice Recorder ( http://www.appbrain.com/app/voice-recor ... cerecorder ) for those Note To Self moments.

The Black Button launches the stock music player playing an MP3 of Beavis saying, "Boinnnnnnnng hehehehe!" and then closes. That never gets old for me. :D

Below those are my alternative to the power thingie called the SwitchPro Widget ( http://www.appbrain.com/app/switchpro-w ... .switchpro ). I only use the few things that are there, but there are about 4 times as many toggle switches that you can use. It's not all big and square and hideous like most other toggle switches. Colors are customizable.

The dock at the bottom is totally customized, a feature of the Home Launcher I am using, LauncherPro Plus ( http://www.appbrain.com/app/launcherpro ... e.launcher ). Even the dock background can be changed or excluded. Resize your widgets with this, too! Hancent SMS ( http://www.appbrain.com/app/handcent-sm ... nt.nextsms ) is an awesome and super customizable text program! Totally GET IT. And that little skull there, I swiped that off a screenie of some app I didn't want to buy, repainted it, and made it my own. This one launches the 3D app drawer which lists every app on the phone all in one place.

Image

Again from the top down, there's the Google Search dealie that comes with Froyo. I just love touching that little mic and speaking my search words into the phone in front of people with tiny featureless flip phones from Wal-Mart.

Mobilse Notes ( http://www.appbrain.com/app/mobisle-not ... leNotesADC ) is for To-Do lists and all sorts of other lists (cool band names,
absurd quotes from AA meetings, my pet peeves as I encounter them, etc.).

Fast Call ( http://www.appbrain.com/app/fast-call/p ... d.fastcall ) puts the letters of the alphabet up for a click touch and dial rather than scrolling through your contact list.

I waded through hundreds of calendar icons until I found this one. Can you guess what app it launches?

My skull friend is back, this time as a Folder Organizer ( http://www.appbrain.com/app/folderorgan ... nizer.lite ) label. Touch each to open a screen that lists just the apps I've tagged into that label. This app also allows you to replace the default icon for all apps and shortcuts. The camera icon holds all camera apps, and there are way too many.

The Black Button on this screen launches One Eye ( http://www.appbrain.com/app/one-eye/com ... are.oneeye ), a spy camera that blacks out the screen and kills the shutter sound and flash, perfect for snapping those pics you don't want anyone knowing you snap. heh It makes insanely low-res thumbnails, not sure if that's by design or not. Hoping for a better free spy cam app some day.

Image

LauncherPro's calendar widget. And in case you're wondering, Stephanie is an ex of mine from 1987. Haven't seen her since then. Should be an interesting dinner!

Image

You zombie lovers will recognize the logo of the Umbrella Corporation. It's a large Desktop Visualizer widget that launches the Aldiko book reader ( http://www.appbrain.com/app/aldiko-book ... ko.android ) which I currently have full of the Resident Evil books, freely downloaded using Aldiko! Tons of other free books and series as well.

Image

LauncherPro's People widget. Touch to open a small bar that allows you to choose whether you wish to call, text, email, or view their contact info. It is very similar to the Sense UI widget as are most of LauncherPro's widgets.

Image

I recently loaded a lot of songs onto my phone and am trying out various free music players. This one is called 3 Cube or something ( http://www.appbrain.com/app/%C2%B3/org. ... rockonnggl ). I'm brand new to it. Loaded here is a brand new rough cut from the next Rosey CD!

The tiny button below it is a Memory Optimization widget that's included with the Open Home launcher app ( http://www.appbrain.com/app/open-home-f ... .openhome2 ). No idea how or IF it works. I push it from time to time.

Image

All Desktop Visualizer widgets, the clock launches Alarm Klock ( http://www.appbrain.com/app/alarm-klock ... alarmclock ), the app I use to wake me up every morning. So far, even with earplugs in, it gets the job done!

Next is an icon I made that launches the most awesome game Angry Birds ( http://www.appbrain.com/app/angry-birds ... birds_lite ). Only a lite version for Android so far, it's highly addictive and free!

The Yankee hat launches Scoreboard ( http://www.appbrain.com/app/scoreboard/ ... scoreboard ), a fully customizable app you sports nuts will love. I am only interested in my might Yankees and I have customized this Scoreboard to play a baseball organ riff whenever a Yankee game starts and whenever a run is scored in a Yankee game. A notification is sent to me that gives me the current score in real time. I push that and I get full details of the game.

The shark launches my absolutely favorite game Hungy Shark ( http://www.appbrain.com/app/hungry-shark/com.fgol.shark ). Soooo much eating. Totally worth the money!

And finally, yes, that's me, zombified! ZombieBooth ( http://www.appbrain.com/app/zombiebooth ... ombieBooth ) is worth ten times the $1.38 I paid for it! I have zombified just about everyone I know, freaking them all out! Stills can be saved and shared via the app for those who wants to pass the scary on.

All screens at a glance, just like Sense UI. Loving the LauncherPro Plus!

I hope you found this informative and fun and got some good leads on some sweet apps and widgets. Aaaaaand.....BBA RULES! :supz:

Nice setup there OMH, I gotta grab up launcher pro and check it out, been using another calendar and it just doesnt bring the info in my face the way I need it. :coffee: lol

I'll try and post some ss of mine when I get time, but its nothing special at this point.

You using any live wallpapers? I tried them at first but found them just to be battery eaters.

Thanks! And yeah, I flipped on Day One when I saw the Magic Smoke one. Tap it a few times and it gives a black/grey smokey room kind of look? Awesome! But yes, a true battery eater. I guess I'd only use it if I were giving a demo of the phone for a room full of people and had it up on a big screen or something.

There are just too many coo static wallpapers out there. Oh! That reminds me, LauncherPro has a feature and turns OFF that annoying horizontal scrolling thing with the wallpaper. As far as I can tell, the other launchers don't have that. That right there was enough to make me pick it over the others.

Haha! Enjoy that, Black, but don't drink it for me. I loathe alcohol. You can have my entire allotted supply...if I haven't already drank it all. :)

Although there may be a chance that no one cares, I've been working on a new theme for my HTC Incredible and while not exactly what I had envisioned, I'm sick of working on it, so this is what we've got. And here are instructions for capturing screens on non-rooted Android phones so y'all can share your layouts, too. A'ight? A'ight.

http://www.simplehelp.net/2009/07/21/ho ... m-windows/

The UI is LauncherPro Plus. All of the graphics are widgets created with Desktop Visualizer. I created and/or manipulated most of the graphics. Some time in the future I hope to take all the photos so the work can be 100% mine.

Image
Home Screen: Clock = Aozora Clock. It's free, and it's the only Clock Only widget I could find that allows you to add whatever font you want! Just add the .ttf file to the specified folder and boom! Also shows date if desired.

Below that are toggle switches and the widget is SwitchPro.

Below that is my favorite shot of me, framed in Turtle Photoframe.

Below that launches Google Voice Actions and the LED flashlight.

Image

The Rolodex graphic launches a cool little program called FastCall. Rather than scroll through my hundreds of contacts, FastCall brings up the alphabet for a quick touch of a letter, bringing me right to where I need to be. Jeez, I sound like a commercial. A bad one.

The weather widget is the 1x1 weather from Beautiful Widgets. The One Eye is a spy camera I must say has taken me some awfully sweet closeup photos. hehehe

Image

Aldiko, Laputa, and Kindle are all book readers, each with their own pros and cons. This other pic of me links to an app called "Owner". Click it and it displays my name, address, and email address. In case I lose it. And some tweaker returns it.

Image

The file cabinet was ripped from Fallout: New Vegas and launches one of the half-dozen file managers I have running. They all also have their pros and cons, no one gets the job done for me.

I am especially fond of what I did with the Yahoo Mail and GMail graphics. That was fun. :)

Image

I made the Angry Birds icon (can't see it all with the sizing here though). I also did the Games folder graphic from scratch. That's Hungry Shark, the Angry Bords, and a BubbleBlast guy playin' some pool. :D It opens my games folder.

The black thing with the lock on it is supposed to be a diplomatic pouch/satchel thing. It launches B-Folders. I use this to store all my logins. To everything. It syncs wirelessly with the desktop. For free!

Image

This last screen opens most of the remaining folders on my device. The whole thing is kind of...busy. I have already begun to design a much more minimalistic layout. But I have to say I'm liking this Android 7 Theme thing over the standard little icons right now. I hope to see some of your layouts!

(That's Marie McCray at the bottom there in case you are curious. I highly recommend you NOT do an image search on her.)

Behold! The progression of my phone design.

Ah. I've never run into a modded iPhone before. Maybe everyone I know who has one is just lazy.

Sim, if you ever get all into modding your new phone, please post some screens, I'd love to see. :wtg:

Yep, my iphone friends are lazy!

That dialer is the shiz! I want! Great. Yet another obsession.

I see you got the SwitchPro. I love it! Gonna make another list of Android apps and widgets for here as soon as I can get on something that I font have to Swype on.

I've got....Layoutism. :( It has got me by the...so I have done a few layouts since the last one I posted here. I'll post one more. I just finished it yesterday and so far I love it.

I'm pretty sure you're all familiar with this wallpaper, yes? I run into it in almost every collection I browse. http://www.presidiacreative.com/wp-cont ... 00x312.jpg With SSN's reminder that I could use blank widgets on any background, this paper finally had potential. I'll start out with what I did with the wallpaper.

Image

I then applied it to my magnificent (and evil) DInc. 7 screens, scrolling wallpaper ENABLED in the LauncherPro+ settings. There are NO visible icons or widgets on my phone now, except for the lockscreen. (I totally forgot to fiddle with my dock () which must mean I like it the way it is. Finally) I used a blank graphic for all functions on the homescreens. As you can imagine, many of the hexagons appear on multiple screens. Therefore, I had to add the blank graphic and its functionality (using Desktop VisualizeR) several times for the same thing. But the result is awesome. I think so anyway. I will definitely have this layout for more than a frickin' WEEK! :D

Lockscreen:
Aozora Clock
Switchpro (toggles)
Calendr
Invisible vertical (top to bottom) slider
Minimalistic Text (Battery, no % with chosen font)
(+ alternate lockscreen)

ImageImage

7 Screens:
Desktop VisualizeR
SDrescan (I couldn't figure out where the Reload Media setting was so I got this app which seems to work as well as the SwitchPro Toggle)
Tiny Flashlight (activated by the lightbulb)
Calendar Agenda activated by the hexagon with the grid on it.
MIC opens Google Voice Search.
The OMH on the far right opens "Owner", an app that shows my contact info, home address, etc.

ImageImageImageImageImageImageImage

I suppose I could have done this with fewer screens, but I like the slower, smaller scroll. Or something. I also made a custom label/folder icon for Folder Organizer (an app I had to finally BUY to get the ability to put all folders into a folder.) Here's what pops up when I touch the APPS hexagon. Say goodbye to the app drawer!

Image

Now if you'll excuse me, I'm going to make sweet, sweet love to my phone and then take a nap. Later!

p.s. I've been enjoying this thread, good for ideas for widgets and apps and layouts, etc. Now 60 pages!
