Dax i live in iowa so i get a ride when its done :)

My personal favorites are 1969 olds 442 with a 6 pack (cost bout 100k)

and a 2006/2007 Bugatti Vernon (costs 1.2mill-1.3mill)

Specs on Vernon
- 1001 hp (yes, SAE net)
- 922 lb-ft of torque
- Sixteen cylinders, sixty-four valves
- Four turbochargers
- 253 mph top speed (GOVERNED!!!)
- 0 to 62 mph in 2.5 seconds
- 0 to 124 mph in 7.3 seconds
- 0 to 186 mph in 16.7 seconds

Its said that on street tires going 253 miles/hr in this car it takes about 15-20 mins till you need new tires

289 balanced and blueprinted .30 over with cam/piston/head specs as the GT350, also running the Holley 750 ( shelby stock) carb. Should produce hoepfully about 325-350HP.

Don't dis the small block ford engines.... lots of low end torque and good high rev engine for its size, it will never run like a owned ford big block ( gt500 427), but still a good mix for everyday street driving and weekend warrior racing. I had a 67 fastback when I was in my early 20's that had a small block that was spec'd about the same way and had it clocked at a local drag strip at 112 in the 1/8th mile, while I also had a 67 coupe that had a tricked out 351 (big block casting, not small block) that only did 116 on the same track.

Not dissing it just could do so much more. But i guess if your building it mostly for the street then you can still beat all the ricer punks

The 300SL and the '62 Ferrari 250 GTO are the sexiest cars ever made. I dislike Italian designs but love the 250 GTO for some reason.

Stick to the mechanical fuel pump, the little bit of HP u lose over electric is fine for the street and less headaches.
750 Holley seems pretty big for that size motor, what size jets you running? New Holley? I havent bought one in awhile but know they had come up with an aftermarket anti blowback valve to help stop frying your power valve if it backfired, ( especially nice when setting your first timing

)

This is the same Carb Shelby used on his GT350, I rebuilt this carb nearly year ago and if i remember correctly, am using 64's on the primary and 70's on the secondary. Jets are pretty cheap, so if I need to retune after car is completed not a big issue... (providing the car even runs when I get it finished)..
man whats gonna happen after Quake Wars is released.. I really won't have time to finish it up....

And yes, running mechanical fuel pump... NOT a big believer in electric pumps...although the big ones sound cool and almost like a turbo .. except I had mine mounted in the trunk area... so the sound was coming from wrong end of car LOL...
