Watch Collector Check-In

Post by OhMyHead » Wed Jan 30, 2013 10:31 am

Hey, any of you guys collect watches? That's my latest thing. Never tell someone with more money than sense that he doesn't know what time it is. Two months ago I decided I was going to start wearing a watch again after a decade or so without one. I was in a jewelry store telling a salesman that I could never decided on one because I'd only see and want a better one 5 minutes later. He told me, "You know, you CAN own more than one watch." And something in my head just broke, right there. Two months later I own NINE watches. I love it! :D

5 Invictas
2 Stuhrling Originals
1 Vestal
1 Tendence

Just curious if any of you are this brand of insane. Image

Don't ever break the law, man. Witnesses will tell the cops, "It was a guy with craaaaazy shoes!"

Still, with most pairs coming in at under $100, and most around half that, you aren't this kind of insane. Plus shoes are a necessity. Watches are not. I'm afraid I can't fill your anti-psychotic medication prescription. :D

Oh! I forgot to share this, didn't I. D'oh!

150 views and not one watch collector? Well, I'd say this thread was a total failure. lol An update, though. After purchasing a dozen watches and a awesome display case, I have lost the intense desire to collect watches just as quickly as I developed it. What a whirlwind! And the total cost turned out to be less than a lot of people pay for ONE watch. (And I call those people "loons".) :D
