ET map editor

Post by Absolute_BSD » Thu Oct 07, 2010 9:20 pm

Hello guys, my son is nagging me to make an ET map. Got to look into it, and found the GTK-Radiant-1.3.8 editor, but I can't save the maps I make, crashes under windows 7 it seems.

Is there something else out there?

(I got to say that I was drawn into playing with it for a couple of hours, and kind of liked the experience... scary...)

Hey there,

That is my favorite of the map editing programs, but it doesn't work with Vista or Windows 7. If you have Windows 7 Ultimate, you can emulate Windows XP and run it that way. Been waaaay too long since I have messed with it, but your right, very addicting. A few years ago between jobs, map editing became my "new" job. I spent hours at a time map making.

I just tried to run it in compatibility mode, XPsp3, XPsp2 and win2000, to no avail... My son will not be pleased...

My bad... the latest version of Radiant is 1.5.0, and this version works very well. I have some problems compiling, but I'll figure it out.
