Castle Eltz

Post by AcidStorm » Sun Jun 06, 2010 7:06 pm

I already sent a large map cargo to Septime that'l keep him busy until
Christmas :lmao:

I saw this on SL Home and it lookS like a successful adaption from the
new wolfenstein. Looks nice and although it's beta1 I thought it
deserved a post. :wtg:

Yeah Acid, you want to kill me. I just had a look at the calendar/schedule and said "jesus christ". :lmao:

But, I spent some time this afternoon on this map. :wtg:

You are right, great looking map, with a lot of open space. Hopefully, you have different side routes and objectives to complete (blow the entrance, destroy the generator, steal the crystals and bring them to the zeppelin...)

BTW it could take some time to be familiar with the different paths, accesses.. (so many of them) but that's great.

The CP will give Allies a forward spawn and that's a good point.

Great stuff such as the zeppelin, the crystals...

A real change from the classic maps. :wtg:

Looks like the map maker did a good job about the FPS.

2 things bother me and I need to discuss about them. If it's ok, then you could see this map on the test server. :wtg:

Just took a look at this one and it is beautiful! Nice and open, lots of ways to objective, and relatively simple objective. Very nice details and custom work. I would love to see this on the test server.

I played this map a couple times last week. It's really well done. There are definitely many different ways to get to objective. I will say that its very easy for 2 or 3 players to camp and defend each path, though. No issues with lag, but was playing between 8v8 and 12v12. Still it's a pretty fun map and only in beta. Would be great to see it on test server and get more opinions on it.

Your wish has been granted : its on the test server. :wtg:

Storyline :
- Axis scientists have been working on a Teleporter Device inside the Castle of Eltz. This Teleporter is powered by rare pieces of crystals.
- Allies forces must infiltrate the castle and steal these crystals.
- The crystals must be delivered at the zeppelin.

Few SS.

:yeah: :yeah:

Really is a jewel of a map.
Very fair map for allies and again makes use of all classes.
Very nice to play visually too.

Props to the guy who made it. Really is something else
:salute:

I checked this map out last night and was quite pleased with it. This a different feel and story line which makes for good play. I say give it a shot and let's see how it works on our sever.
