CORTEX WHO Beta 5.1

Post by septime » Sun Apr 18, 2010 10:17 pm

There are 4 CDs hidden in the house :
- Second floor at the shelf
- First floor in the stereo system. Press the remote control to open the CD tray
- In the room "Minus", in the CD player
- In the room "Cortex" in the portable CD player

Objectives (Axis)

Axis must pick up these CDs and bring them to the computer (put the CDs in the drive).
At the computer, there is also the flag : makes it easier for them.
At the monitor, you see the current status which CDs are still missing.
When axis took the flag, they are able to use the remote control (in this room in the bin) to move the helicopter which is floating on the table next to the flag.
This helicopter will pick up the fourth CD in the Cortex room.

Objectives (Allies)

Allies have to prevent Axis from stealing the 4 CDs.
The best way is to prevent Axis from capturing the flag.

Let's give some input about this huge map

Tested it and didn't care for it. Those trams seem like a gimmicky choke point somewhat like the tram on toxic facility. People will mortar that spot where you get on them and that will be pretty much the end of the map.

:chin: Never seen a mortar in action on that.. so don't know how effective it would be.
If I recall there's more than one route up the stairs..
There are these air vents..

In previous version, you could hop up and down the stairs. Are there more tram cars in this version?

I remember lots of fights on the stairs and in the vents and on the vent-ropes, previously.

Is the balloon still in?

In a 20 on 20 fight I think once one team gets the flag near the computer, it will be very hard for the other team to recapture.

Also, the heli remote either only works 1 time per map or its glitchy. Only ever got it to move once in the map I played after I found the remote.

Neat setup though.

I agree on the flag. It would be nice if there was some way that Axis could gain control after a period of time or after capturing one of the cds.

On the helicopter... it took me a while to figure it out, but the helicopter doesn't move after it has picked up the cd. It dawned on me to look under the chopper and lo and behold there was the cd! :lmao:

I am surprised no one complained about the limbo menu and the objectives written in french. :chin: :lmao:

The flag on the desk gives an "unfair" and decisive advantage to the team that holds it. Because of the spawn-time and a closer first spawn, Allies will get it at the beginning. Then with many people ON, it will be quite a challenge to reclaim it for Axis.

If Axis can't hold the flag, they will never be able to deliver the CDs in the CD tray, just near the famous flag.

About the chopper, you are right : it only moves once. The CD will stay below the helicopter.

A lot of fun in this house, for sure.
