Hey Bloodbane
I found a site that has a heap of maps for QW.
But i have no idea how to run them. I gather they have to go on the server ?
Also not sure if they work with our modded game. Not being Pro mod ?
If you get the chance can you please have a quick look at this site and see if anything can be done

Bloodbane i found a site that has a heap of maps for QW.
But i have no idea how to get them to work, I gather they have to go on the server ?
If you get the chance can you please have a look at the site and see if anything can be done
Not sure about our modded game and Pro mod be compatible ?

I've downloaded all of those and tried to get it working but I've never had success. I followed a guide I found but it didn't really help. If you happen across a better set of directions on what needs done to activate them I'd be happy to give it another go.

Our TAW friend Assassin4004 has helped me understand the custom map situation much better. I think we could get some up and going now however there are some issues.
Now, I don't want to over simplify this but we will have an issue with maps that have megatextures and BBAmod.
If we were running promod it would automatically pull the textures out for each user and set everything up. BBAmod is missing the features that allow for this auto unpacking of megatextures so in addition to the pk4 downloaded by the game automatically an additional file would need to be downloaded and copied into each user's game folder.

I am very leery of doing this as I imagine we would have a lot of folks unwilling or unable to understand how to do these additional steps. I am willing to change us over to promod but we would lose XPsave as well as the other BBAmod features.

I'll leave this decision to you guys that play the server regularly. Please discuss and let me know if I should proceed or stay as is.
