Minecraft Server for BBA?

Post by Sissyboy » Thu Sep 27, 2012 1:29 pm

Not sure if anyone on the forums plays Minecraft.
But it seems to be very popular.

We might want to think about starting a server.
I'd be willing to give some time to playing the game (I haven't tried it yet) to try and build the clan back up.

The clan forums for the game seem to be pretty busy.

Need some input guys/gals.

Anyone playing?
Would we be able to build BBA with a Minecraft server that has a BBA presence?

Let me know your thoughts please.
Will Ban for Stroyent.

Good idea.
As long as you find people willing to give some time and dedication.

On a side note, never heard of Papabear and Milkybear.

ET bots. We need servants

Really hard to have a good server. Might try it if I have time some day.

My son has been playing Minecraft lately...just got it. He's enjoying it but I'm looking for some decent servers for beginners for him if anyone knows of any.

Couple years old and I apologize for it, but did you guys ever end up finding a Minecraft server to play on?

My son found several that he played/plays on. He got discouraged from quite a few of them by all the griefing and general asshattery going on. I got into the game as well so now I run a small (less than 5 person) server for me, my son and a couple friends to play on.

Good to hear. I'm an admin for a small mature community. The owner has taught me quite a bit about running a minecraft server. I run a Feed The Beast server on the side. FTB is a
Collection of mods. I can teach you about how to keep your server mostly grief free, and how to fix grief and find out who's responsible. Do you run vanilla, or do you use Bukkit?

There's only a couple of us on the server so I don't have to worry about griefers. We sometimes run vanilla when we want to try one of the newer updates but we usually run forge with a few mods like Extra Biomes XL, Mo' Creatures, Iron Chests, Better Furnaces, GemsPlus, Treecapitator, etc. Don't really get in to all the technology stuff that comes with FTB...
