BF3

Post by Swatt » Tue Oct 25, 2011 9:11 am

Coming from ET:QW, Tribes2, UT2K3/4 I've always liked the vehicle supported FPSs. I played Battlefield 1942, but other games pulled me from following the series. Following the Brink train wreck, anyone pulling the trigger on BF3? I see the egg has a nice promo for it:

Nobody have any concerns over EA's Origin tool? Seems the original EULA gave them access to your entire system to do with as they wish.

Couple articles say they are slowly changing it but I would still be cautious.

The game is simply the most detailed game I have ever played...in the one campaign map I was playing it was a small platoon trying to rescue prisoners held in building in Iraq...freaking crazy realism as we worked through the streets, thought I was interacting in a CNN live feed. The climbing, jumping, sliding make the Brink engine seem old.

As far as hardware, my quad core, 4 gig of ram and ATI 5750 run the game smooth without any tweaking in the setup.
