2 Copies of ETQW

Post by Sissyboy » Mon Mar 29, 2010 1:22 pm

Congrats to Decipher on winning the last ETQW giveaway.

So for April...... I have 2 OEM copies of ETQW to give away.
(Disc and Registration Key only)

So a new game.

I've randomly chosen 2 numbers at:

http://www.random.org/

(interesting site BTW)

And I generated 2 random numbers.
The first is between 1 and 30 and the last number is between 31 & ??.

So here's the game. Post anything you want.. Doesn't matter as long as the post abides by forum rules.

So just say hi to someone, call em a noob, or heck, even post your favorite recipe. Sissy don't care!

Now if your post happens to be the same number of either of the two randomly generated numbers. YOU WIN!

If the post count doesn't reach the second number. Then the last post on April 30th wins.

Simple as that.

(If you already have a copy of the game then feel free to play this "contest" but if you win, you will have to give it to someone who doesn't have the game and posted in this thread.)

I'm going to PM HimAgain with the two randomly generated numbers.

(US only, unless I don't have to jump through hoops to send you a copy)

Have fun and remember This is post #1!!

Next up.......... post #2!

Good luck!

(And don't forget to tell regular players about the BBA website) :wtg:

A quote from the site http://www.random.org/ cracked me up!

The generation of random numbers is too important to be left to chance.

#8 Where else but in Australia can you eat your national emblem

here is my favourite roo soup

Kangaroo Tail Soup

Serves 2

This recipe gives a very hearty soup which is a meal in itself. Allow plenty of time to make it as the tail is best marinated for two days before cooking commences. Like oxtail, long slow cooking is essential to extract the full flavour and the bone marrow. Allow 3 hours cooking time.

Ingredients

Southern Game kangaroo tails

Marinade 1.2 dl olive oil
# 1.2 dl wine vinegar
# 1.3 dl water
# 6 cloves
# 2 teasp. salt
# 6 bay leaves
# 6 black peppercorns

Boil all marinade ingredients together for 5 minutes and set aside to cool. Do not use an aluminium vessel for cooking or marinating. Southern Game Meat's packs of kangaroo tail come already into appropriate 3 cm sections. Remove any thick sinews from the meat if necessary, place in a bowl (preferably glass or china) and pour over the marinade.

The tail looks very similar to ?
Would you eat it?? :chin:

Thought I'd share some Poetry! Old one this poem 2005 I think.

Soulless, lifeless. So full of life and soul anew. Dead and alive, living and dieing. The fine line between magic and reality. the line that can never be crossed and will never be shred. Take a step and fall beneath the clouds ever ending, harken the wind as it shrieks songs of old into the darkness of daylight. land upon nothing and breathe the water filled air. raining hale into the clear moon sky full of bright splendor. Real and dream... Alone yet so close to the world.
Soft chorus of waling in to the clear bright night. Northern banshee storm chaste upon the cruel south. water from the east and west, south and west. Seafoam sea breeze into the still night. north and east. Mountain cliff rock tumble upon the filled valley of solid snow and liquid rubble. unknown the world.

Harken my call the wind speaks in a voice which sends chills down a body clear and far, the corpse of the dog rotting beneath the sallow. joy filled glee children of the night. Damned cursed into the bitter day. Dance the basin of hate and despair, giving into shadow damned souls playing tunes of hope. Visceral scent. decay coagulates into the wind, basin filled crimson... run... return... dance the basin and harken the call of the children.

Leave the world you once knew now know no more and feel my graceful disdain.

:insane:

#11 Thanks to some reassurance from SissyBoy, it seems I can play!!! YAY!

Some people might have noticed that I started posting small war ditties on the chat box for BBA's server in splatter ladder. They were created on the spot without any real forethought, but some people liked them, so I kept a record. Here they are:

12/03/10 22:45
When the sun rises on crimson grass and the bugel makes one last call, I'm proud to fight with these men of honour as we die against the wall.

14/03/10 19:14
Three men stood, lighting a cigarette, the first light caught attention, the second caused regret as the third gave away location for the sniper's aim and three soldiers died with a match to blame.

16/03/10 20:36
I wonder why I'm stood here, looking the enemy in the eye, relentless and without fear, quite prepared to die, and yet something cold reaches deep as I fire. We're both humans, just on different sides of the wire...

18/03/10 02:15
I smell the pungent odour of fallen victims, and that tell-tale explosive residue in the air, but I'm frozen and stare in pure horror knowing, a second ago, 10,000 people stood there.

23/03/10 14:36
The wonders of the world and all that I've seen is merely a picture, so I chose to be a soldier to make my life richer, but when I saw how we war and leave lives in ruin, I question whether this is really what I should be doing...

These aren't my own opinions or representations of how I truly feel, I merely imitated the mind of a troubled soldier and wrote some things in that prose.

I believe one of the greatest skills each one of us can learn is to truly imitate the mind of someone else. If you can think like your enemy, then you're enemy can't hide their intentions.
