Well, I'm already very familiar with both Process Explorer and dll injection/cross application calls so I'll look into my load when I get back home. Interesting. EvenBalance seen to think it's a foreign dll, but my concern is that it's actually something like pb querying the dlls just to have say yo...

I tried a very similar method, but on XP home, that didn't work. Although the kicks have become more infrequent, I will still get kicked after about 3 or 4 maps... Seems it's a service interaction setting that causes the kick, but no user or EvenBalance have been able to pinpoint it yet... I know I ...

Message from Evenbalance: Please delete the PB folder from the game installation, then run PBSetup and let it check for updates. Make sure you don't run PBSetup from inside the PB folder. I followed this and went a bit further: 1: Used PBSVC.exe to remove and uninstall the services. 2: Deleted pb f...

I feel sorry for those who are severely afflicted, like me. For those people, ET is practically unplayable... I'm sure EvenBalance already knows about this... and doesn't care... I'm sure that, for them, this is an old, outdate game that has very little priority in their work... I think this is just...

So, I've had a fiddle about... 1: Tried it over wireless (WRT54GCv2), same thing happens. 2: Tried it wired, same thing. 3: Tried with and without FW and AV software, fail... 4: Wired my PC to the modem (it's a damned bridge! nothing more! A modem does something clever, this is just a neutered route...

Yeah, I feel your sentiments and I fnd myself in the same boat. It's like a random disconnect for no good reason and as fera has heard me rant, this is another nail that PB have put into the ET coffin... However, I'm not sure how much this would do. Hell, I'm not sure EvenBalance would place any pri...

Yeah, nearly all the routers now have firewalls and those before simply blocked ports until you opened them. Best log on to it and check, but that wouldn't stop it functioning, it would simply not connect. So what's happened? Well, between the game executing and the router failing, there's a LOT tha...
