Meh, having biting and clawing as weapons is like playing ET with only knives and poison...

New True Grit: Boring. Cute girl, though. Great job for her first outing. Original True Grit: A turd just like all of John Wayne's movies. Hideous girl. Have not seen the new one, and I do not recall the old one. What little I recall of John Wayne films is simply thinking of him as a man's man, but ...

Loved it too, loved Jackman's cameo and the Magneto/Xavier casting. I think you and I enjoy the same movies sir!

It was kinda boring. They had such potential with Blackbeard... I think Depp was kind of tired of playing Captn Jack too.

Yea, the single cores were fine. Just the doubles, which is all I had, were not good for stable fps.

So the phenom's are not just a doubled up version of the double core's then I take it? Cause if they were, they'd probably have the same issues.

I have an am2 motherboard not an am2+ but the motherboard specs say it can hold am2+ cpu's, if I'm reading them correctly. At $140, that's almost double the price as the one I have listed. They did have a $100/$110 phenom II X40 920 or something like that.

CPU question

Forever and a day I have played on differing versions of the AMD Athlon 64 X2 chipsets, (4400, 5400, 6400) and much to my dismay they could never maintain stable fps in ET. I am thinking about replacing my 6400 and was wondering if any of you have used this CPU: Phenom X4 9850 HD9850XAJ4BGH), 2.5GHz...

Teflon coated baking sheet FTW. Get a nice flat one and just slap your mouse right on top. You might need some of the non slip stuff to lay under it, but it works like a charm and can be bought cheaply at wallyworld.

Get a Corsair H50 CPU cooler. Self-contained liquid cooler. Not only way cooler, but almost silent to boot. They just came out with an H70. I just bought an H50 and installed it literaly yesterday. I still have to open my case and put a fan on it (perhaps I need to tinker with the case fan arrangem...
