Well, kinda depends on what you have running. My HTC desire realistically lasts 1 day with mobile internet on and minimal usage, but if you turn off mobile internet, wifi and bluetooth, you can easily get 5-7 days use before a recharge. It's the mobile internet that's the real killer (trust me, I'm ...

When I was a smoker, used to just use my lighter.... chin I once knew a girl who did it with her teeth..... I watched a hench girl brag about how she could do it with her teeth, then broke her molar during the demonstration... Common sense failed to prevail. I learned the ancient art of using any h...

Finally got round to snapping some screenies of my Desire. As a minimalist, I've not modified... anything... http://img695.imageshack.us/img695/4582/helicopterk.png I only use 3 screens and have stuck with the HTC sense UI, using the calendar and friendstream widgets. The number in the notification ...

My mum used to say "Seeing is the quickest way of learning..." and "If you haven't anything nice to say, don't say anything". I watch what is displayed in these forums and many sources of information on varying platforms and use as broad a sensory perception as possible to take i...

I'm a little bit more cheap... I bought a 3 pack of self-ashesive lino meter squares for £1. I stuck one to the corner of the desk and it's amazing. My mouse moves smooth, I get no grip on my hand and even though I do eventually wear the surface away through over-use, I can resurface it with other t...

HTC don't seem to be as adventurous anymore. Their technology in their newer phones isn't as "cutting edge" as it was. As for this phone, the hardware seems strangely underpowered when compared to that of the Desire HD. Not much in it. OK, you get a new noise cancelling mic, but 768MB ram?...

It's good to see manufacturers become more adventurous in their attempts to merge modern personal computing with mobility and cellular access, but I think one of the reasons these new end phones keep geing pushed back is because Google keeps whipping out new Android versions by months, not years so ...

Did you know that there are 'short' and 'long' tons? 'Short' is 2000 pounds, 'Long' is 1000kg. This is because 1 kg (metric) = 2.2 lb (imperial) but humans like to work in rounded numbers, so a "long" ton is technically 2200 lb. Sherman tank... We've used that as a euphamism for years rou...
